About SheRecycles

Women powering the global circular future.

Our Story

Still Unfolding

SheRecycles began as a simple but urgent idea: end-of-life systems for clean technology must be inclusive, accountable, and designed to last.

What started as a vision is evolving into a collaborative platform — connecting communities, councils, and recyclers to build circular systems that work — technically, socially, and economically.

We embed women's leadership not as a side mission but as a core design principle.

Where We Are Today

From Vision to Validation

At SheRecycles, we are actively building the foundations for a new kind of circular infrastructure for clean tech end-of-life.

We are preparing to launch the SheRecycles initiative.

Our current focus is on partnership-building, systems design, and pilot-ready pathways.

Our Founder

Kesewa Opoku

Kesewa Opoku

Founder & CEO, SheRecycles

SheRecycles is led by founder Kesewa Opoku, whose work sits at the intersection of sustainability, systems design, and women's leadership.

With a background spanning research, policy engagement, and community-led initiatives, Kesewa founded SheRecycles to address one of the clean energy transition's most overlooked challenges: the lack of coordinated end-of-life systems for solar, batteries, and e-waste.

She believes that circular infrastructure works best when it's co-designed — bringing together communities, councils, recyclers, and industry to build solutions that are practical, trusted, and scalable.

SheRecycles is the platform through which she is turning that vision into action — one partnership at a time. If you would like to help shape this work, you can participate in the initiative.

Collaborations

Where SheRecycles is being tested and built

SheRecycles is currently being developed through collaborations with Universities, students, and industry partners.

Currently working with student teams through the Practera program to analyse recycling systems and design usable solutions.

Our Values

Transparency

Open information flows. Every partner is verified, every process documented, every impact measured and shared.

Circular Thinking

Every end-of-life asset contains valuable materials that can be recovered and reused, keeping resources in circulation.

Women-Led

Building sustainable infrastructure with diverse perspectives at every level. Women lead our organisation, partnerships, and vision.

What's Next

From pilot to scalable circular infrastructure

SheRecycles is moving from concept to pilot — engaging partners, testing systems, and laying the groundwork for scalable circular infrastructure in clean tech end-of-life.
