Visibility
Can someone spot the recovery point without needing prior knowledge?
About SheRecycles
SheRecycles is a recovery pathways platform and an emerging recovery intelligence platform for batteries, e-waste and clean-tech products.
Mission
SheRecycles began from a simple problem: people often want to do the right thing with old devices, batteries and clean-tech products, but the next step is unclear. The platform makes recovery pathways more visible, practical and trusted.
It started with mapping recycling points and is evolving into a broader recovery platform for reuse, repair, donate, resell, trade-in, recycle and recovery intelligence.
Founder
Founder, SheRecycles
Kesewa's work sits at the intersection of sustainability, systems design, research, community engagement and women's leadership. She founded SheRecycles to make clean-tech end-of-life pathways more accessible and accountable.
The current direction is shaped by ongoing research, industry engagement, testing and fieldwork, with features prioritised based on what helps people act and what helps partners improve recovery systems.
Fieldwork approach
The platform looks beyond whether a drop-off point exists. It asks whether people can actually see it, access it, understand it and trust it.
Can someone spot the recovery point without needing prior knowledge?
Can the public reach it during normal use, without unnecessary barriers?
Are accepted items, safety steps and instructions clear enough to act with confidence?
Recovery points are mapped and checked across public, retail, council, library and campus settings.
The website is restructured around pathways, insights, events, partners and editable content.
The PWA can later connect item condition, safety prompts, map filters and partner referrals.
